Internships

To reinforce learnings and to acquire work experience on specialty students of the Donetsk Institute of Tourist Business do internship. There are 7 types of internships :
The research internship aims at the research of new recreational areas of Donetsk region and Ukraine (Second year);
The technological economic internship , acquaints students with the work of tourist enterprises (Third year);
The complex on specialty internship , provides the students with training at the workplace as probationers (Forth and Fifth years);
The internship on specialty for the students of Master’s Programme (Fifth year);
The pre-degree internship aims at the providing experience in management internship in tourist enterprises and gathering materials for degree paper;
During the internship abroad students study excursion, transport, hospitality, restaurant industries, economics of tours in developed centers of countries of European Union (Hungary, Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland and others).

Foreign practice in 2011

From 10 to August 22, 2011 the students of Donetsk institute of tourist business practices overseas were on the route Budapest - Vienna - Prague - Dresden - Karlovy Vary - Kutna Hora - Debrecen.
The main objective was to introduce the practice of the hotel-restaurant and a tour business, as well as comparative analysis of these areas in different countries. During the practice students get practical experience organizing sightseeing, restaurant and hotel industry, have improved their knowledge of foreign languages and have received many positive emotions.
We invite students and students of Donetsk institute of tourist business practice to go abroad in 2012.

Internship in Bulgaria – 2010

The nineteenth internship abroad of the students of DITB by the following itinerary: Donetsk - Bourgas (Bulgaria) was successfully held in August 2010. While the students were in Bulgaria, they had an opportunity to consolidate theoretical knowledge and actual practice in hotels.

During  the internship the students studied functions of hotels and  catering of tourists.
They visited various attrections of the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria (Albena, Varna, Burgas, Nessebar, Sunny Beach, Sazopol, Golden Sands) and got unforgateble impressions.
No doubt that this practice will be a good beginning for their career in the hotel business.
The Department of Internships, Excursions and Tourism invites students and school leavers to undergo their internship in 2011. 

Internship abroad – 2009

The eighteenth internship abroad for the students of DITB for the following itinerary Czechia (Prague)-Luxembourg-France (Paris, Strasbourg, Reims) – Austria (Vienna, Salzburg) – Hungary (Budapest)-Slovakia was successfully held in august 2009.
Students had a possibility to improve their theoretic knowledge that they got at the Institute. They also could see, examine and compare hotels, restaurants, cafes, service and show business of different countries. Their knowledge will help our students in their study and in the further development of tourist business in Ukraine.
The Department of Internships, Excursions and Tourism invites students and school leavers to carry in execution their internship abroad in 2010.

Practice in Lvov-2009

Every year during the winter vacation students of the 1-2 courses of DITB studied recreational possibilities of Lvov region. They improve their knowledge studying history, culture and architecture of the West of Ukraine. This year they visited Lvov, Zolotchive, Oleske and Gisdgirtsy and became excursionists of one of the best tours – «Lvov gold horseshoe».

All these activities were realized according to the Agreement of Cooperation between DITB and I. Franko Lvov National University, M. Groushevskiy Carpathian University, tourist regional center «ëniagij» and Lvov Ukrainian Culture Institute.
Our students became the participants in a course «Carpathian recreational region is one of the most important Ukrainian tourist centers», that was lectured by an assistant of the Tourist Chair of LNU Jarmolovich V.V. And Head of the Chair of Humanities of DITB Myschechkin G.V. delivered a lecture «Tourist historical-cultural potential of Donetsk region». Students from Lvov promised to come to Donetsk in spring 2009 to visit the interuniversity conference that will take place in Donetsk Institute of Tourist Business.

The research sightseeing internship for the second year students was held in 7 districts and 20 towns of Donetsk region, including Donetsk, Makeyevka, Mariupol, as well as in settlements of Kirovograd, Luhansk, Dnepropetrovsk, Cherkassy and Kherson regions. At the conclusion of the internship reports were written, the information from these reports will be used in the articles for the Students and Aspirants Scientific Practical Conference.

The technological economic internship of the students of the third year took place on the basis of 25 tourist enterprises, 3 restaurants, 2 rest houses. The most famous and prestigious base complexes of internship were tour enterprises Sputnik-Donetsk, Ilitash-tour, Passport-Plus, Donetsk hotels Central, Viktoriya, Druzhba.

The internship on specialty for the students of Bachelor’s Programme was held on the basis of 37 enterprises, including tour enterprises (Sputnik-Donetsk, Ilitash-Tour, Passport-Plus) and hotels Central, Donbass Palace, Viktoriya, etc.

The internship on specialty for the Specialists is held on the basis of 28 tour enterprises including Sputnik-Donetsk, Passport-Plus, Ilitash, hotels Central, Viktoriya etc.

Internship and pre-degree practice for the Students of the Master’s Programme is held on the basis of 25 enterprises. There are also Pedagogic and Scientific internships carried out on the basis of Donetsk Institute of Tourist Business.
